I wanted to reduce plastic bags and this is helping. For example, I cleared out a bunch of paper files and forgot how much easier it is to use paper bags. They stand and open at the top, which makes filling much easier. If you recycle, just throw a bag full of paper in the bin with the contents. The handles can't hold much weight, but that's okay. Not suitable for kitchen waste as coffee grounds and damp objects can soak paper. Conclusion: If you haven't used paper bags in a while, you should keep some with you. They are not only useful but also environmentally friendly.
