Review on πŸ›οΈ Dry-Packs Mylar Bags and 300cc Oxygen Absorbers for Long Term Food Storage, 10"x14", 1 Gallon, Pack of 50 by Beth Wilson

They came in handy when we got the whole thing.

They were very useful to us when we received many 50 lb bags of rice at once. We were able to store the rice in these 1 gallon oxygen scavenger bags and store them in an airtight container for future use. This way we don't have to worry about bugs, mice or whatever trying to get into our food and eat it in front of us. Mylar bags have opened our eyes to a whole new world of food storage. We believe that 1) it doesn't take up much more time, 2) it really doesn't take up more space, 3) your purchases will last longer and 4) if you have to move, it's a lot easier to pack. and save. We found out about this when we were first introduced to Mylar bags by our friends. They just left the army and showed us how many years ago they packed this food in plastic bags, how it was stored in the containers and how many times it was moved, obviously when he was in the army. It was very interesting to see how many foods were put into bags, sealed and then stored in an airtight container. I looked at this container full of groceries and thought how impossible it is to keep all of this food in jars and keep moving around. I can understand why he and his wife Mylar packed so much food and failed. Simply packing and unpacking the tins every time you move would be enough to get someone to buy a Mylar bag, but I'd be tired of worrying about those tins breaking from thinking about it all the time and would think of the money I put into the canning process. Mylar bags are a great way to handle groceries.

Pros
  • EASY TO SEAL! - Use a hot iron to seal these bags and keep everything inside, and reseal after opening if needed!
