All my life I hated watches because they got in the way of my thin, bony wrists. I felt a leather strap would be the best option and wanted something cool and professional. I'm not very "girly" but this watch was quite feminine but not defiant. It's easy to read, keeps the time/date very well, and I don't mind submerging it lightly in water (I often forget to take it off when I'm putting my hand in a deep pan of water while washing dishes). I wouldn't recommend wearing it in the shower, especially since it has a leather strap that can dry out and crack. I have treated the bracelet with a leather cleaner and conditioner, it holds up well and most importantly it doesn't bother my sensitive wrist! Can only recommend this little watch. (Yes, this is Japanese production, but very reliable for those who care about the origin and quality of the product.)
