First of all, I want to say right away that the review is about a camera of a specific price segment. A long time ago started with the “Zeniths”. The last digital camera before that was with the SX10is, but the "soap box" is the "soap box", and I wanted to return to the "reflex camera". Controls are standard for Canon. He has a good standard lens IMHO. And the opportunity to make full use of it. on Canon cameras, "Zenith" optics (of course, with manual focusing) has become a weighty argument in favor of the purchase. Autofocus is really fast and virtually trouble-free. Stabilization is also quite acceptable. Unexpectedly liked the touch screen. Sometimes it's easier to select the desired mode with your finger on the screen than to fumble with the menu buttons. Good power saving mode. On tour. a trip of a regular battery for a day was enough without question. At the same time, the camera did not turn off for hours during the day, and the battery could still work part of the next day. I didn’t really like a large number of some vague settings for shooting modes. I suppose that they will probably be convenient for a novice photographer. To be honest, they confused me and in difficult cases I preferred to make the settings myself. In simple conditions, the ability to shoot using the screen as a viewfinder sometimes helped out. In difficult conditions, when shooting through the screen, there are problems with focusing. It is strictly forbidden to use the screen as a viewfinder on a regular basis. Drains the battery instantly. In general, the instructions say this, but it doesn’t make it easier :) In general, the model is quite normal and worth the money.
