I wonder why you would be able to store something like a leather belt where it could easily go moldy? I ordered this belt but noticed that it smelled like mold. I sent it back and got a replacement but even it still smelled slightly musty. I am severely allergic to mold and fungus so I know my nose is a bit more sensitive but please help me! Sometimes storage conditions may not be ideal, but is there anything that can be done to better protect items that a person wears as part of their clothing? I put the second belt in a relatively dry place along with some desiccants, hoping that eventually the belt would dry enough that the mold would die off and that it wouldn't take long. Unfortunately, after almost two weeks, the replacement belt still smells strongly of mold. I will return it for a refund. I see no point in sticking with it as it is useless to me until the mold dies.
