We love the shooting safety this toy offers, but the backlight stopped working right away. We took the bow and arrow out of the manufacturer's packaging and put batteries in the bow to light it up. The light came on and then went off, at which point there was a distinct smell of burnt plastic. Since then the light has stopped working. Our kid wanted to exercise anyway, so we left the toys. Pros: The bow and arrow set works well, apart from the faulty lighting. It was convenient for all children to play with, aged 3 to 7 years old. The kids love it and the darts stick to the target well. Cons: The backlight mechanism was faulty. The children were disappointed that it did not catch fire as expected.
