It has a certain "heaviness" to the fabric that some might not like, and some reviews compare it to lightweight canvas. It's this density and heaviness of the weave that I like about this product. If you don't like that, you can select fewer threads. We have used and washed this set twice and the fabric is holding up quite well. I think this set will only get better with time. I am very happy with my purchase.
