It may never fall, but I can't get it to stand still

I may have played around with the Koomus phone mount a bit. I've had it for about five years and when it fell apart without proper use I figured it would be a good and easy replacement. While it's easy to assemble and pop into an air vent, it doesn't seem to hold my phone steady. I still have to worry about it going side to side.
