I don't know how much they do. I still have a lot of scale on my shower walls, floor and showerhead, but I live in an area with VERY high levels of minerals in the water. They offer a level of security to block chlorine and other irritants. I would NOT buy again if they would raise the price at all. After three years of use, they definitely have NOT made my skin softer or less dry.
