700 lumens? Not even close. Theoretically you could get about 700 if each LED was powered and operated independently. Together I would be surprised if it were more than 300 lumens in the current configuration. 2.4 watts are not 700 lumens. Orville Wright may have used an "aerospace alloy" but not in any of today's aircraft. It's more of a kind of fibrous plastic sheet. Poor quality solder. See photo. The fit is snug but the overall size is comparable to a 921 bulb. The light is bright enough but not intrusive. They're serviceable and you get a lot of them, so I have a spare or five in anticipation of a breakdown.
