I highly recommend this epilator. It is surprisingly gentle and very powerful. It quickly removes hair from even the most sensitive parts of the body! In general, I've seen places recommend a smaller head and slower speed for more sensitive areas, but I've found the opposite to be true with this epilator. The higher speed was actually more comfortable - as you might expect, pulling hair out faster is more comfortable than prolonging the pain! Even with the head open, there was very little risk of snagging the skin because the sides push the skin back well. I took it off a star because the battery powered option didn't seem as powerful after a use or two. While I can just leave it plugged in for full power, what worries me is that the battery doesn't seem to have the same charge. This can be an issue if you've traveled with it or not used it in a convenient location for an outlet. I also got no response from the company when I asked them about it. If you have concerns about epilators in general, this review probably won't allay them. However, I think this is the best and most comfortable epilator I have ever tried. Whatever method of hair removal you prefer, it will be the best for you. It simply means that Emjoi Soft Caress is the best option if you want to epilate or are in the process of doing so. I've found this to work on ANY length of hair, so even if you loosen up your hair regimen a little, it will do the trick. !) and a cleaning brush. It's all pretty easy to clean - the lid pops off and you can brush away any hairs pretty easily and twist your head to pry them off the tweezers. Some reviewers have asked if gold is a gimmick - no! Not only does it look good, gold also has antimicrobial properties that are said to prevent the growth of bacteria. This is especially important as your scaly, plucked skin has little to no natural protection.
