I love the idea. It works well, I think it's easy to use and doesn't require electricity. It would be nice if it came with instructions, but I think the idea is simple: insert an item into the slot, pull the tape, and your item will be covered in what looks like rubber glue. I bought it to make Christmas cards and type words over the device because I wasn't sure if I should use glue. This device works well enough for words, but the letters come out as little sticky, web-like threads that you can easily pierce with a paperclip or something with a point. The problem is that the goo can get there one way or another. Example In the letter "O" you would poke a hole in the middle and the glue could stick perfectly to the circle or go to the side. If the circle is not pierced, the middle of the letter will stick. The letters are fine, they just need editing. This would be great if you want a durable decal and less mess than regular glue (or glue stick). I really like this label printer. I was surprised how big 1.5 inch actually is and although I foresaw the need to buy manufacturers of different sizes I am very happy with this purchase.
