I am very happy with these dark blue curtains which I bought as a gift for my son's house! Despite good reviews, I was skeptical that they could block light without lining. (All I've seen in retail stores have been heavyweight fabrics with extra lining.) But they do a great job! See my photos with one open and another closed set. And yet these panels are light enough to easily move along the pole. These are 108" panels from floor to ceiling and I'm only 5ft 2" tall and had no trouble opening and closing them. There is a crease from the box. It's not noticeable when the aperture is open. I had to go straight up and look closely to see the creases when the panels are closed. I added a photo. (The navy blue fabric looks gray in my close-up photo, but it's not.) I think a steamer can easily do the job if you want perfection, or maybe laundering can help. (Great that they're machine washable!) But the creases really don't show unless you get close to the navy panels. It also has a matching panel that is perfectly sized (length and width) to match the skylight window above the fire door. (The door has blinds, but there was nothing for privacy by the window.) Light blocking is also evident in this photo. UPDATE: I was so happy with them that I bought the light blue ones in a shorter length (72 inches) for my daughter's college bedroom. It will be there for less than a year so I was happy to only invest about $65 for two sets (4 panels). Light blue does NOT darken a room as much as dark blue. However, she wanted them to block a street lamp that glows at night, as well as privacy and purely decorative purposes. The light blue is so pretty! The packaging was crumpled, but I didn't stick around to put it in the washing machine or steam it. I think they'll come out then. Again in awe of how well they move on the line. Because this is a college apartment, she couldn't install the poles and had to use tie rods. The panels move so easily that you don't have to pull them and risk the bars falling off. Super smitten with those light blues and navy blues, but be aware that they're not as easy to block as navy blue.
