Very dark black shade. Whether you want to add some drama to your eyes or are looking for something special for a special occasion, this is great! The pen is easy to use and the mascara itself lasts a long time. The reason I took the star off is because it stays wet for quite a while so I have to wait quite a while before I can put my glasses on. Maybe I'll only use it if I wear contact lenses. Otherwise, it has a lengthening effect without lumps. If applied carefully, it won't stain, but since it stays wet longer, you have to be careful. Not sure if that extra moisture will hold up, but yeah I didn't have to touch up during the day. It was easy to remove in one go with my usual eye make-up remover.
