I mainly use it for remote desktop. I live in a small house and at some point my whole family was gone so it was hard to find a place. I originally had an adjustable, pivoting, metal laptop stand that worked pretty well until a screw came loose and things got ugly, like nails on a board creaking with every movement. To avoid this catastrophe again, I bought this table. It's big enough to put a small laptop stand on the middle shelf and big enough to be rolled up and partly placed over a side chair so my kid can use it as a desk if needed. For this purpose I bought a silicone napkin for the countertop. Time will tell how well it will hold up, but for now I've been looking for a small all-purpose mobile desk.
