I was so disappointed with this microphone that I bought it as a backup for my new AVX bodypack transmitters. I don't think it's very well shielded as it picks up a lot of noise that the original Sennheiser MKE2 and ME2 mics didn't have. I could clearly hear the hum and hiss, which temporarily disappeared as I repositioned the other two AVX transmitters. I swapped out the mic for other bodypack transmitters with the same results. I often work with multiple wireless transmitters and this is the only mic that picks up interference. It's a shame because this microphone has a great compact shape.
