I needed a new backpack as my old bookbag style backpack was 6 years old and traveled a lot to need its retirement. So as a replacement I wanted a leather backpack that would hold up well and show character and patina with age. First, I looked at backpacks from Shinola and similar niche brands. And although their quality is excellent, their price exceeds $750. I decided to at least look for a cheaper alternative. And I found it. I chose the Polare cowhide leather backpack. And with the price <150$ I thought I'd give it a try. After all, it has a 1 year guarantee and I could return it if I didn't like it. When I received it I was completely blown away by how well built, comfortable and durable this backpack is! It looks better in person than in the photos, is very comfortable and rides great. And I've gotten a lot of compliments from people on the looks and the style. There's plenty of room inside and it seems like there's a pocket for everything. Even with two laptops, there's still ample protection and plenty of room for notepads, legal documents, electronics, and more. Only time will tell how well this backpack will hold up, but it's by far the best backpack under $150 yet. . I spent a long time!
