I often leave my bag in my truck. Before heading back to the "big city" I didn't think much about securing my bag or anything else I left inside until I forgot to lock the doors. I quickly learned my lesson. the door lock on my truck had been torn out and shortly after moving into the city it was empty. Pacsafe is easier to crack when the mesh is fully stretched, so it works better with bags no closer to 55 liters. Lock your bag next to what you use to secure it. If possible, use a separate cable to attach the bag to an external object. The second time someone tried to take the bag, it partially came off, but the second cord prevented them from taking it, so they had to choose between staying in the truck and cutting two cords or the net. The cables and the web outlasted their tools and they gave up. So I need to replace my backpack but I haven't lost my gear. Last lesson: lock your car or truck! Both attempts were possible because I didn't make sure that the doors and windows of my truck were locked.
