Seriously, I had the same reaction as most people when they see a pair of $15 socks. Is it really worth it? Are they really *much* better than a $6 three-pack at the big store?! Yes Yes Yes! I've just bought a pair of fairly expensive hiking boots and when I first tried them on they didn't feel very comfortable - they rubbed my foot in weird places - and I thought I'd have to return them. . And then I tried them with these Thorlo socks. A miracle happened! The boots are super comfortable (I've walked about 5 miles in them now and no blisters, no chafing, no discomfort at all!) The socks are a little thick, especially in the padded areas. But moisture-wicking Coolmax fibers ensure they feel cool enough for summer hikes (they'll be put to the ultimate test in the Revain jungle next month!). It should be noted that these are crew socks, so almost knee length. for me (I have 5 feet). I actually ordered extra pairs in the mini team format which are still big enough to fit over my hiking boots. The sock (small) fits me perfectly.
