Review on Tripp Lite Outlet Cabinet PS120406 by Robert Rasmussen

I love these great commercial energy bars and this is my favorite so far. I also have a generic power strip that I got from a home store and a Prime one that I bought from Orchard Supply Hardware, but this Tripp Lite PS4816 power strip with 16 outlets, 15 amp, 15 foot cord is included by far the best. the coolest 1) tons of outlets. 16 on one track! I'm a big computer genius, I have a full-size tower, three displays, five thousand external drives and various accessories. 2) Better organized cables! The endless connection of traditional extension cords is tedious and unsightly. So everything stays on track. 3) Installation. I see from other reviewers that some don't get mounting hardware, but I got it and it works great. I screwed mine into the underside of the table top and it really helps hide the clutter and makes the floor easier to clean. 4) Very narrow bushings. Actually, that's an advantage. Because my bar is mounted below the table top, power cords, bricks, etc. are sometimes quite heavy and will dangle from the bar. The snug fit of the sockets keeps them secure. 5) Good design. It feels like high quality fittings. The power button is housed in a hinged cover that prevents accidental presses. The cord is heavy - more like a quality power tool than a regular extension cord. The only thing I would change. I would like the individual sockets to be rotated 90°. It would be a little out of the box, but the upside would be that most power adapters would stick out of the way rather than blocking an adjacent outlet. (If you get a strip with fewer outlets, you'll probably have enough space between them and it won't matter much.) I paired this strip with an Ikea product called "signum" and it keeps all my cords tucked away. snugly under the back of my desk with nothing dangling off the floor or wall. This setup works so well I bought a second one for my girlfriend and she is posting pictures of her all over the internet.
