Quality control is questionable but the dog is happy

We have had this bed for almost a year now. Bought XXL for a large dog (90-100+ pounds). The dog is 100% satisfied with the bed. Providing such a thick, comfortable bed has effectively put an end to the dog's harassment behavior - it no longer demands to be let on human furniture. on. On the XXL, the pillow lump reduces the available flat space to a less than ideal ratio for my large pup. Due to our limited space, I still opted for XXL. Eventually the dog learned to use the bed properly (haha!) and doesn't seem to suffer from the lack of flat space; he seems to enjoy stretching to his full height with his head on the pillow and curling up next to the pillow. However, people were a bit disappointed with the product and made some recommendations. The bed we got was hard and discolored. Foam on the pillow which, as far as we know, may never have fully expanded. (After giving it twice the recommended time to recover from its packaging, we gave up waiting and put the bed in its liners.) The waterproof liner had a noticeable tear; The plastic wrap it was shipped in was undamaged so it is clear the liner was damaged prior to shipment/receipt. The zipper on the velvet bedspread came undone as soon as we tugged lightly to close it. With some effort we were still able to zip up the cover, but given the additional issues that could arise we have yet to remove the velvet cover to wash it. mattresses and change/wash these sheets regularly, which is much more convenient than a zip-up cover anyway. I recommend using jersey stretch sheets that stretch well and hold their position on the pillow ball. If I were the manufacturer of this bed, I would love to expand my product range and offer fitted sheet sets for work. with beds. Another product improvement I would recommend is the addition of pen straps - a pair on each of the long sides of the case. We live in a small house, so the dog bed should serve as a day/night sofa in the living room and a night bed in the upstairs bedroom. A few simple straps on the sides of the bed would make it much easier to move the bed from one place to another, as its size makes it a little awkward to carry (when trying to minimize contact with the bed's surface). the bed itself).
