My daughter is below average weight for her age and slightly above average height. So she is thin and tall. She is 5. We ordered a small one. It's so tight at the waist that it really digs in uncomfortably as the elastic flexes very little but drowns it out in length. Terrible sizing. If you're ordering this, maybe order 1-2 sizes up and plan to change the length by lifting the hem.
