Review on Black Hydrofarm LG17010 Digital Light Meter by Nathan Jones

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality urine; very bad design. . .

Overall good experience with Hydrofarm products; but their light meter leaves a lot to be desired. Aside from the lack of CR2032 batteries as stated in the Revain listing, it didn't respond at all when a new battery was put in - for my money. When the indicator finally became visible after sequentially removing and reinserting the battery, it was giving erroneous low battery warnings. and the only way to erase archived readings was to remove CR2032, which would probably require some sort of probe or long nails. Also, he made conflicting statements based on my other light meters. This wasn't very user friendly; the battery is very solid; and electronics are too easy to damage. Another bad example of Chinese prison labor; not like in the re-education camps of the past. . .

Pros
  • Lifetime Silicon Cell (Lithium, 3V, CR2032) - includes information leaflet with lighting recommendations
Cons
  • Exorbitant price
