Review on Olympia Apollo 18 Inch Backpack Maroon by Jennifer Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good professional backpack at an affordable price.

I really like this backpack. This is a beautiful, functional bag at a modest price. Pros: You can pocket a significant amount of stuff. There is a laptop sleeve that can be expanded to accommodate computers up to an inch thick. The front pocket offers space for pens, pencils, chargers, etc. Additional zippers and sleeves keep things tidy. The dimensions of the bag are well balanced: the flat bottom allows it to mostly support itself when sitting upright on the floor. It also sits well on the back and is easily adjustable. The padding on the bag protects the back from the contents of the bag. Cons: The material matches the price; mainly polyester and plastic. The materials are not breathable. This bag is not designed for rough terrain or hiking. The skin is artificial. There are two pockets on the side to squeeze your laptop charger into, but you'll find it difficult to slip a water bottle into these side pockets. The slack in the straps is sewn into the pocket to keep them from dangling. However, this means that if you try to undo the bag's straps to make it sit lower on your back, the belt loop will stick out of the bag. It's hard to explain (see picture) but it's a bit annoying. Despite these issues I would buy again. All in all, this is a good bag for the student or traveler who wants a professional, unobtrusive bag to carry essentials.
