Loved carrying it around the house! In the lanterns! For wreaths! cribs around! The possibilities are endless until the battery dies. They lasted like 2 weeks on 24/7. I believe they will last longer if you unplug them overnight. Some of them didn't turn on at first. I found the problem was the battery not making proper contact with the terminals. Squeezing the battery between your thumb and forefinger and holding it seemed to fix the problem. If you have a problem I recommend you try this before throwing away the broken string.
