Our 11-year-old daughter loved getting this for Christmas this year (because her little sister "stops sitting still and whining too much", lol). It was exactly what she wanted. The hair is soft, doesn't have a plastic feel, and she easily endures different braiding styles. We had a bit of a learning curve in the beginning how to properly comb our hair as it gets tangled easily if not done right, especially when we use those tiny hair ties. So yes, there is some hair loss if you're not careful. But not much of what we've seen so far. Highly recommended and a great gift for the price. Were happy.
