Seems to do the job of getting into places my hands can't reach and is gentler than a bristle brush. I didn't notice that there is no drying hole in the handle. The lid is hinged and removable. The handle isn't very long, which is a good thing, and the handle is made of a very sticky material so it's not as easy to slip off when wet. The pictures show an additional spongy shell, which is not there. This means it is detachable. I don't think it will take too long. The foam under the sponge lid appears to be a haven for moisture that can get trapped and moldy, but we'll see. I think it's worth a try if you don't like fluffy puffs like me, but the stubble and loofah on the handles are tough on the skin.
