So I have a very bad knee that doesn't hold together.

So I have a very bad knee that is not holding together. Every time I move from side to side, my knee gives out completely and I fall. So I decided to try the Shock Doctor Bio-Logix Knee Brace. I was very happy to get it because I read it would work for people like me with side knee problems. When I opened the box, the bracket looked like a piece of metal from a transformer. what I like. hahaha Looks cool, but seems a bit clunky to me. I'm only 5ft 5in so it felt bulky on my shorter leg. I bet if you have long, slender legs (that's what this thing is made for in my opinion), this will fit perfectly. My feet aren't big or anything. but when putting it on I had to buckle it as tight as possible, and when walking it slipped off. I couldn't prevent it. I got the right size for my knee, but the way it's shaped seems designed for a man's foot or someone with a bonier structure than me. Not sure. If anything, I can see that it maintains proper alignment and likely prevents the knee lateral release issue. movement, but it caused me pain in my knee. There was a lot of pressure on the right side of the knee in the joint, I tried adjusting it according to the instructions but again it didn't fit my leg. The knee size was correct, but the shape of my leg didn't match the shape of the orthosis well. It has a more molded shape so it is specific for right or left leg as shown in the picture. Another point: It has smooth movement in the support joints, which was cool, but it also feels like you can't fully straighten your leg, nor fully flex it. I need something less bulky and with more freedom of movement.

Pros
  • COMPRESSOR SLEEVE. Using a compression sleeve under the brace provides the perfect combination of support, comfort, fit, performance and recovery.
