This scratching post arrived yesterday and before I could pick it up our cats had already explored it and gone into the cage. They didn't stop climbing or sitting on poles. The tree is very easy to assemble, be sure to read the instructions as there are special screws for certain places. It pulls well and is very strong and resilient. The tree is quite large, so make sure you put it somewhere with plenty of space. Both of my cats love all kinds of perches and cages. There is a ball on a string that can be placed on the main stand and is easily attached with two small screws. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver to place the ball on the stand, otherwise everything else is easy to attach with the included hex key. Great tree, easy to set up and accepted by my two cats.
