I was disappointed with the finished look of the shelves. They were easy to put together and the pieces fit together well. I had to carefully tap them in with a hammer. The final step, however, is to install tiny silver screws with their heads facing out. In addition, the shelves are composed of matching pieces almost like a jigsaw puzzle. Again, the outline of the hole is visible from the outside of the finished product. I would have preferred a build that didn't show any signs of build up from the outside. Otherwise I would have given the shelf 5 stars.
