I had to flare one (1) 1/4" brake line at each end. The vise has holes for this size but is so loose it doesn't even grip the tube. The tube just slips out of pipe OD measured with caliper is .250" which is true. 1/4" hole in vise when closed and fully tightened is .290" on same caliper. Hole is .040" too big! All other sizes in the vise have the same problem! I have a flaring tool that does single flaring so it can't be used to make brake lines with a 1/4" hole. "Hoseing is .210" or .040" smaller so the notches in the hole are able to grip and hold 1/4" OD tubing. wobbles when trying to cut the pipe. makes it impossible to cut off the end of the square tube. If you can't cut the square tube, you can't do a centered double stretch, which will cause sealing problems at the joint. Brake systems often see 1500psi and need good, accurate connections! If this is a manufacturing issue then maybe a different block will be correct, but at this point I'd like to return the tool.
