Review on Jumbl Reinforced Hardwood Construction Standard by Eddie Man

As a pensioner I have recently discovered jigsaw puzzles as a useful mental exercise for the parts of the brain that need it. A styrofoam sheet placed on the kitchen table works well, but chunks scattered across the floor still end up on the floor. Found various puzzle boards with crates on Revane to help contain and organize the fugitives. We chose the Jumbl Board for its good size and perceived quality. The price is a bit higher than others, so we expected better. Arrived quickly, box intact and undamaged despite what other reviewers have reported. The design is good, if a bit heavy with four drawers and a bottom panel. The board and base are poor quality masonite and arrived dusty/dirty with light scratches or stains on the surface. The boxes are slippery but sticky, requiring extra tugging and profanity. Also a series of conspicuous small white spots that appear to be filled with nail holes. I thought of going back to Revain at first but ended up wiping down the Masonite and wood with wet sanitary napkins, then twice applying Feed N Wax Furniture Cleaner and wax polish to all surfaces. The board looks a lot better now and the drawers slide out easily and quietly too. Satisfied and won't be back but plan to use wood furniture cleaner/wax again. A surly star as I had to do something the manufacturer or importer didn't do.
