Review on Smart bracelet HUAWEI Band 7, black by Janis Berzins ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

If in Huawei Band 5 the pulse was measured every minute, then in Band 7 the measurement interval is floating: from once every 1 minute to once every 10 minutes (depending on the degree of physical activity). And when you turn on the screen of the bracelet, it shows the last measurement (which was from 1 to 10 minutes ago) and immediately starts making a new one. And these first measurements (1-3) are very often in the region of 87-89. Examples. I am at rest, the pulse is 60, I turn on the bracelet, it shows 60, then 88, and then again 60. Or like this: 60, 87, 73, 60. Or while walking: 115, 88, 96, 115. Video with an example: Either this is a sensor jamb, or a software error that, in theory, can be fixed with ates. Discharge rate if enabled: • all monitoring functions + "Always on display" ~ 32%/day • "Always on display" + TruSleep ~ 28%/day • all monitoring functions ~ 15%/day • only TruSleep ~ 10%/day A few more neutral facts: • maximum number of alarms - 5 • after starting the stopwatch, the screen goes blank only after 5 minutes; and on subsequent prompts, the screen will turn off after 5 minutes • Settings and menus open in the position they were last closed. • if the hand is in a vertical position (the angle of inclination of the hand relative to the horizontal is more than 45°), then the display does not light up after turning the hand • if you fall asleep before 20:00, then this period of sleep until 20:00 will be added to the previous day's sleep in statistics At the moment, the application has about 270 free displays and even more paid ones. Screenshots of all free ones: List of all sports modes: I will ate the review as I use it. Ready to answer any questions, write to FB.

Pros
  • • you can create, modify and delete alarms from the bracelet itself • there is a function "always on" with 5 displays (photo 6-10) • there is an included wake-up on touch function • there is an included function to automatically reduce the brightness at night • there is a flashlight function • there are 3 modes of vibration: no, weak and strong (weak and strong have the same intensity, but different duration) • it is possible to reset an incoming call • it is possible to put any picture from the gallery on the background of the dial • a large number of sports modes • detailed weather forecast: hourly — one day ahead, daily — 6 days ahead; the time of sunrise and sunset and the moon, the phase of the moon; tide information (for certain regions) • the ability to pause and switch music tracks and videos (from the gallery, from youtube, movies) played on a smartphone (with and without headphones, as well as with a connected bluetooth speaker), and control the volume (5th photo) • on some dials, when you click on the values of the weather, pulse, steps, an advising window opens with detailed information • there is a quick settings menu that opens with a swipe from the top of the screen, through which you can: turn on the "do not disturb" mode on the bracelet, put the bracelet in long-burning display mode, find a smartphone, open alarms, go to settings (4th photo) • you can set the display time after waking up: auto, 10, 15 or 20 seconds • captures sleep at any time of the day; if its duration is less than 3 hours, then it records it as a snooze and no phase tracking • high maximum brightness: everything on the screen is readable in bright sunlight (3rd photo) • a classic strap that won't come loose just like that, with a locking device for the end of the strap that catches on the hole • convenient and fast connection to charging • fast charging (charged from a laptop): from 10% to 40% in 8 min from 10% to 80% in 25 min from 10% to 100% in 55 min
Cons
  • • in 96 sports modes there was no place for football (there is only beach) and basketball (why? !) • it is not possible to edit the time of actual falling asleep and waking up in the Huawei Health application • if you stay in a motionless and relaxed state, then the bracelet may attribute this to sleep, due to which the total sleep time will be overestimated: for example, if you lie in bed for some time after waking up, then the bracelet often refers to this time as sleep (and, accordingly, records the phases of sleep) • vibration is weak and not very pleasant • notifications from some applications are not automatically removed from the bracelet after they are deleted from the phone, so you have to clear the bracelet from them manually • on some smartphones, the step of changing the volume level from the bracelet may be too small: to raise the volume on the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro smartphone through the button on the smartphone itself, you need to press it 15 times, and to do this through the bracelet - 150 (! ) times • you can not change the position of the icons in the bracelet menu • you can not select the icons displayed in the quick settings menu (4th photo) • you can not set the interval for measuring heart rate during continuous monitoring • you cannot set the time frame for automatic brightness reduction at night (they are fixed: from 22 to 6), and you cannot separately adjust the brightness of this mode, it depends on the main one (the higher the main brightness, the higher the brightness of the night mode) • incorrect operation of continuous heart rate monitoring: With constant monitoring of the pulse after the bracelet wakes up, very often the first pulse measurement is in the region of 87-89. This happens regardless of whether you are at rest (heart rate around 60) or in a state of light physical activity (heart rate 110+). And the problem is that these false heart rate values are recorded in the heart rate graph, which makes it not very accurate (continued below in the comments) .
