We were given a double bed and after many, many years of marriage we decided to put an end to the duvet pulling (I was a lot more generous in the early years). We decided this was a better option than a divorce. We still have duvets which are good for very cold nights or when someone comes and can see our bed. Maybe they hadn't been married that long and would still be kind enough to share a blanket. We don't need them to judge us for walking the (sigh) separate blankets path, but I digress. So, like everything I buy, I do my research. We wanted something warm but not suffocating. We wanted something that had enough texture to keep the sheet from sliding onto the floor while you slept. We wanted something without that annoying wide, hard, silky binding. And we needed something so the little dog's claws wouldn't get caught when I pick him up in the morning and put him on the edge of my husband's bed when he gets up. He, he, him. They actually fit, except for a small snag. Now they are way better than any other woven blanket and I've had some really expensive ones. None of the issues were major and we had no trouble getting them to work. And I have a small dog with thin, sharp claws on his feet. I will take this exchange for a nice warm non-stifling blanket with smooth edges!
