Comfortable with gel insoles. The only downside for me, I felt like the shoes were rubbing my pinky. It's wide but still narrow for the legs. At $40, it's not the worst shoe in the world, but you need insoles to be comfortable. In particular, GELS update: after several uses, they make great hiking shoes and regular sneakers. But for HiiT training or aerobics, it may be different depending on the insole.
