They make *horrible* coffee IF you don't use the pods they're made for. We originally tried them with pods we already had (these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AUBYMK2/) and the coffee came out so weak we could see through it. (These pods work really well with non-valve filters though.) They make *AWESOME* coffee when you use them with the pod they were made for (this one here: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product /B002YPC2NM/). Now I know it doesn't seem like it should matter much, but it does. This pod has a spring-loaded bottom, and somehow (I'm guessing dark magic) this damn thing turns out to be the perfect cup every time, and with half the amount of coffee!
