I bought this for my 3 month old baby. It's almost 4 months old, I've been using it for a month now. Reviews and questions vary as to what age your child can start using this lounger (I believe the packaging says 6 months and up). I think this is a personal matter for every mother and baby. My baby was already sitting well (help), holding his head and moving it perfectly, and by 3 months he was kicking his legs all the time. Once I put her in the sun lounger I learned to cover her sides and back with a folded swaddle blanket as there is still a gap between her and the seat. I want the seat to be mesh as my child gets hot in it and wants to cool down after a while. As she gets older I'm sure things will get better as she fills the seat more and gets taller. She loves to jump and is now starting to explore the toys. I bought these because other bouncer models have reported child injuries. I either force the girl to wear grippy socks or put an old crib pad under her feet to keep her from slipping. She likes the bouncers and I am also very happy with her. Happy enough that I've now bought other Baby Einstein products!
