I bought this blanket on the advice of my husband. I like the weight of dozens of blankets on me but not the sauna I got. This blanket gives me absolutely the right weight feeling. But it will retain quite a bit of heat; I've woken up in a sweaty mess more than once. I didn't buy the cover, preferring to use it as a plain sheet. And that's good, because I think it's dry-clean only (a picture of the label is included because it made me smile). Overall I am very happy with this purchase. But it will keep you warm, and you should probably have a sheet or bedspread with it if you don't like the idea of dry cleaning.
