so far, so good! Nothing in the package but works as advertised. I love soft light! I connected this to a laptop stand. The lighting is good. Your choice of brightness goes into the cable. It's simple and works well. I use a few days. Love it. Slim and the lighting is really nice to illuminate my 14 inch laptop. I'm pretty sure this will work for most laptops. This is a good buy. At first I thought it was too expensive, but it does what it's supposed to do. It is smooth and works just like the pictures.
