Adjusting the sensor may take some time.
I didn't like it at first because the sensor didn't work. But I found it needed to warm up first, and now it needs to be dark on the sensor for it to light up when Auto mode is on. So when it's only half dark, put your hand on the sensor and it lights up and stays lit until you stop and go out of range.
