The printer is built like a cheap plastic toy that will bend under light pressure. The printer does not close completely, leaving a gap of a few millimeters. While this does not affect functionality, it does indicate poor build quality. I have only tested this printer on Linux. The following may apply to Mac or Windows. I installed a Linux driver found on their website which is not referenced in the supplied manual. unacceptable when using USB. There are wireless printers that print faster. Another printer I bought didn't have this lag on Linux. To top it off, the resulting printouts came out with empty text and jagged barcodes. I was able to find another thermal printer that works with Linux, it included a PPD and a raster cup filter. The filter is the key to creating high-quality prints on Linux. The filter produces high-quality printouts.
