I was skeptical of how well this would work. My mother has a very old, arthritic dog who doesn't always go outside before she loses control of her bladder, so the carpet outside her door smelled strongly of urine. She used it on this rug and about an hour after she used it I walked past it and found that the smell was completely gone. So I went to my room where one of my cats was tagging while he was under the weather. I used it on these stains and as I sit and write this review the smell is completely gone. This works way better than I ever thought it would.
