. My daughters needed it for a dance number. Both are 5ft 1in tall but the younger weighs 110lbs and the older 128lbs. . The small and medium came as described and fit both daughters as needed. The inseam is not quite 2 inches on either; You won't get more inseam with a larger size. The very small shorts, however, had a completely different style - high-waisted, legging-style compression shorts with phone pockets on each side and a 5-inch inseam. Luckily the small and medium ones work for what I really bought them for. I can see the concern that they may be a little "naughty" for some but not too much for my girls. They are worn by the dance teacher over tights and a leotard and under another layer of the costume. We will also leave a very small one as it is suitable for the youngest daughter who asked me for more dress options for her school dance class. Everything at a super bargain price!
