When I opened the ring lamp's packaging, I was surprised to find that it was all plastic and light. I have a much more expensive lamp (it's over $180) but it's HUGE and the light is so bright it hurts my eyes so I don't want my daughter to use it all day plus it's glass and expensive so I was afraid she may break it. To my surprise, this ring light is VERY bright when you turn it on. I would not have expected such a great light from such a small and light ring light. You can set the light to 3 different light tones and make it brighter or darker. I am very happy and so is my daughter. She's only in kindergarten but they do distance learning for school 5 days a week and I don't have to worry about her breaking the ring light because it's plastic but works so well.
