Excellent glide for tablet accessories

When looking for stylus pens, I was mainly looking for a replacement for my previous one which was too short (3 or 4 inches). The problem I had was finding something that didn't feel narrower both online and offline as I have short and wide hands making it difficult to hold thinner pens. I originally came across them because they had good reviews and I was curious about the microfiber material, mostly because I noticed that the rubber tip on my previous stylus had so much friction that it often stuttered across the screen instead of smoothly to move. Since I mainly use the stylus on my Minecraft tablet, the in-game camera was a bit jerky as a result. After seeing a smoother glide in the reviews and the fact that stylus pens come in a variety of colors and attachment cords and interchangeable tips, I decided to give them a try. Not only is the quality comparable to standard styluses, but the microfiber tip is incredible. I was worried the tip would be hard but it's about the same amount as rubber tips but the material seems more durable. What was most impressive (along with the reusable case, extra spare tips and microfiber cloth included) was the glide. While I was expecting it to be smoother, the difference in feel is more like walking off the pavement in street shoes to skate. I don't have to press down on the tablet screen as hard as I do with the rubber tip, and there's a bit more precision. The tips are also easy to swap out and are threaded to prevent the tips from coming loose too easily. The only downside I can find is that the clip on the back (which holds it in mounts, pockets, etc.) has a thin coating which - once scratched - exposes the copper underside. Fortunately, the needle body has a better coating. Another downside is that the plastic headphone insert that attaches to the stylus doesn't stay in the headphone jack very well. While it's strong enough to withstand the pull of the pen's elastic cord, it takes very little force to get out of the slot - too much for me. Ultimately, though, I would have preferred it to give out easily as it's easier to fix than a damaged connector, and I feel that the positives about these pins generally far outweigh the negatives.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Big and chunky
