I haven't seen anyone mention that this is used for cats so I thought I'd give my two cents to that. I have 5 cats. two Siberians, a Persian mix and two red tabby shorthairs. Siberians have triple coats so keeping them comfortable outside of the winter months can be a challenge so I've had raincoat brushes, matte haircut brushes, stiff bristle combs, etc in a very short time. After about ten minutes there was enough fur on the grass to make a little animal and it was sooo soft. I suggest doing it outside, the fur flies. I was concerned that it would damage their skin or cause irritation, but all of my cats seem to be doing well enough and personally I could see that the fringes aren't as dangerous as I thought. I can't use it on my Persian just because he's too weak and thin for most brushes, but I know he'd love it if he was thicker. Fur, but there are a number of reviews about dogs. I think I might get a second one.
