This is a very recent purchase so my estimate of durability and strength is an approximation. This is exactly the product I wanted to buy for my new iPad and overall I'm satisfied; but it has a design flaw compared to the Apple Smart Cover - when the cover is closed, it sits on the edge of the case, not the screen. This means that unlike the Apple case, this case does not help to clean the screen. Although the Apple cover is slightly smaller than this front cover, it's still too big to fit into the rim of the back case. I checked if two lids can be used together. I haven't seen an obvious easy way to get it working. My iPad's screen is always "nasty" and I wish the lid cleaning function would work, but the fact that it doesn't works doesn't stop me from using and enjoying this case the way it is. A nice upgrade for this product would be for the lid to rest against the screen (rather than the edge of the case) when closed.
