I bought this for Christmas because my version of it warms my breath very well due to the 100% cotton. Weather. I only use it with a 100% cotton thermal blanket for very cold nights. Because it's cotton, you won't get uncomfortably warm like microfiber or other synthetic fabrics, even when warm. Layering is how we keep ourselves warm at night from artificial fabrics and frankly function better. I personally sleep much better with this setting. If you like a weighted blanket, it's large enough to draw attention from the sides. Great for making a bed, just gently spread around the edges. Helps keep out dust particles under your bed. The first wash throws out a lot of fluff. It's really nice that my high efficiency but not heavy washing machine can wring most of the water out of it, many duvets have that much stretch. Water my washing machine has difficulty wringing and draining. I put cotton sheets on all my beds at home. It's going to be difficult to find cotton bedding on the market unless you're paying for a set, it's great value and a good product.
