My toddler tends to grow so fast that cheap shoes outgrow them when worn - unfortunately that's not always the case Case in point: on the SECOND day of wearing, the white coating in the area of the toes/upper side was already worn away. (Of course he ran around the playground and probably scratched the concrete somewhere, but that's hardly surprising with children's shoes.) Otherwise they seem to be quite durable, don't feel cheap, the soles feel quite dense and hard. Toddlers love them and find them comfortable, but if you're looking for something that looks presentable for more than five minutes I wouldn't recommend them.
