I'm glad we were able to fix it, but be careful!
I've had the bread box for a few months and at first I really liked it BUT I just cut the back of my hand pretty badly on the smooth edge so I thought I'd better report it so you don't hurt. The problem is on the front edge of the lid under the handle. I grabbed a slice of bread and sliced myself instead. I like the box too much to throw away so my husband used a length of drip irrigation hose which he cut open and swiped over the entire sharp edge. Now there is no longer any risk of injury and the hose is invisible.
